  2. NicholasJamesEvans Says:

Could I cook eggs on this?

  3. barnes31261 Says:

Alcohol stoves work fine in this stove, titanium changes color due to heat, it does not effect the strength. you are a dumb ass dip wad who knows nothing,

When SHTF and you are working for your food and economizing calories becomes a function of survival, things that are vilified in our sedentary lifestyle such as salt and fat become necessities. Go google pemmican. I’d take venison steak if I had a choice but ramen has its usefulness in survival situations.

  5. melonbarmonster Says:

Do you know what “economizing” means? Salt is needed far more than vitamins in a survival situation. I brought up physical training to illustrate the fact that salt is used by those engaged in physical training for the purpose of increasing salinity and helping the body retain water to stave off dehydration. It would be economical to consume salt calories along with calories to enhance taste as well as increase salt intake.

  6. k00gan Says:

Surviving is economizing calories, not the Olympic Games…
You are trying to justify this ramen shit by all means… but it’s still crap ! :)

  7. melonbarmonster Says:

Crazy when you are sitting on your ass in your air-conditioned room. Sodium consumption during survival situation when your caloric intake and physical exertion is significantly higher is critical. There’s a reason why sodium pills and drinks are given to soldier, athletes during training.

  8. k00gan Says:

1 pack of ramen noodles = 1960mg of sodium. 82% of a daily need. For only one meal. Just crazy.

  9. melonbarmonster Says:

Consuming salt is very important in survival situations. Your body will retain water and prevent dehydration.

  10. melonbarmonster Says:

and the discussion is about cooking ramen with the woodstove. thanks for stating the obvious

  11. k00gan Says:

Just have a look to the amount of salt (sodium chloride) they contains and you’ll quickly see that they are NOT excellent for survival situations. They are excellent at nothing…

  12. toobakedtooplay Says:

thats very cool but this is about the woodstove not the best way to cook ramen

  13. alzathoth Says:

cool stove, however i dont think they are worth $50 CDN. :(

  14. rycan84 Says:

you ruined it for my whenyou broke out the ramen… yukky msg

  15. ThePuglover7 Says:

NO NO NOOOOO thats not how you make those noodles

  16. heresyournametagmark Says:

so you had to get an rx from your doctor for this? how gay

  17. alanvalentinus Says:

for camping go other places, but for beginner survival I recommend the Book 98.6 degrees by cody lundin.

That Vargo Titanium 750 Sierra is my favorite for backpacking. I like that the tapered sides to use all of the flame. I like the open design, rather than like a mug, so I can saute spices in oil, boil, or fry, for example: a pan-sized trout.
I use it with the Guyot Designs spatula that snaps apart with a spoon.
The lid will pour off excess liquid. That pan will do a lot more than ramen noodles.

  19. ConceptSurvival Says:

It is normal for titanium to discolor with heat. It does not mean that the stove is being damaged. It is fine to use an alcohol stove with this.

  20. pigmanjojo Says:

I bought one of these vergo stoves after this video great peace of equipment worth every dime ( REI is offering no shipping fees in December ) great wind screen for tangea stove does discolor I have tried a lot of different thing and this vargo titanium stove is a lot better setup than a hobo can contraption :-) at least anything I have made and it is collapsable

  21. ksmarske Says:

They would have cooked faster if you keep the door closed

  22. wednesday454 Says:

    there goes my bag………..hang on!

  23. alzathoth Says:

    HILARIOUS!
pleaple leaving comments are more interested in the ramen noodles than the stove… lol.
i like this stove, but will it hold the weight of a large pot or skillet? i’d like to try to cook something more substantial on it, like ckicken breast or steak. ;)
once again, great video kev. ur my hero. ;)

  24. eafvr Says:
