If they had to use four gun shots to get him to stop, and he’s had a criminal history of being violent, and fighting with cops, and being tased multiple times to subdue him….. wtf is a “stick” going to do. really? thats like poking a lion with a “stick” C’MON PPL!! did u read anything or watch the news?! they said they had AT least 5 phone calls from witnesses. so sounds like they ALLLLL called the cops! and btw he was CRAZZED outta his mind….GROWLING… what on earth were those ppl going to do? an it looked like that fourth person you’re seeing had a child with them possibly. its crazy to me that the ppl actually rode their bike past something like that. if i would have saw that i def. woulda turned around or taken a diff. direction are you kidding me?!

I am a firm Believer in helping the next person in any way possible. I was the person that stood up for the kids being bullied when I was in school but come on man… What would a person be able to do if u witness someone eating off another person’s face? I would run like the wind and call the authorities! What the hell would he do just because u say stop? Stop? He’s EATING another person’s FACE!!!! That doesn’t mean those people didn’t hv a heart or morals, just means mama didn’t raise no fool

um this is scary if i was a cyclist i woulda probably did the same thing as the guy that pass on the bike cuz i would be too scared to try to stop a guy that is chewing off a HUMAN FACE!!!! i mean come on if a bullet couldn’t stop that man what can a cyclist with no weapon do i mean applause to the guy that stop and tell that zombie man to stop and get off but did u see him stop he was still chewing on his face.. it took several shot to take him down ugh.I’m so sorry for the victim

you also have to look at it from the cars’ point of view also while some people just be airheads from their view it probably looked like a man just bending over to do something they also wouldn’t have heard anything even with open windows because the car slicing through the wind makes noise around the car so you can’t really blame people in the cars the bike guy at the beginning well that’s a different story

And enough with this George Zimmerman garbage. Zimmerman in my opinion instigated a situation that wasnt even there. And the end result is a teenager lost his life over non sense. And in my opinion, how can you claim self defense when you instigated the altercation. It doesnt make sense to me. So Zimmerman was not protecting others. He was the wannabe cop you spoke of. And in my opinion he should be in prison for killling that boy.

And who cares what the media does or say. Think for yourself. Do the research on things you are uncertain of and form a logical/educated belief/opinion of your own. And live by that belief/opinion. Not the beliefs/opinion of others. But remember those beliefs/opinions will what people around you will judge you on. Some Serial Killers beliefs/opinions allow them to think killing is ok. That doesnt make it right!!!

So whether if I am on duty or not. The same reaction from me would have transpired. And that would be for me to help in anyway I can after I assess the situation. And if average Joe got involved and got hurt. Only people with no morals and no character would ridicule that person. How could you ridicule another person for trying to help someone else that was being attacked? People with morals and character would call that person a “Hero”. And I clarified what that means in another post.

Its not easy for me to help a person in this situation because of my occupation. I have had 3 occupations since I was 18 years old. I was in the military, then I was a Fire Fighter, and now I am in Law Enforcement. Its not the occupation that makes me want to help other people. It is my moral character that make me want to help people in need of it. I chose these occupations to help people. I wouldnt be able to look myself in the mirror if I did nothing to help someone when I could have.

And I really dont think it is an opinion. Its more of character flaw. How can one justify not getting involved when someone is clearly in need of help. I know a lot of things are situational and most of the time all you can do is call 911 for help. But this was not one of those situations. As I said something could have been done sooner. Its very, very alarming. That the attitude of today’s youth and young adults is just call 911 and dont get involved.

And everyone went with call 911. But it was a while before that call was made. And there was several cars that passed by and a few people on bikes. Because I doubt the response time for this type of attack by Miami PD is 18 minutes.

I 100% agree with you. You cant blame people for not getting involved whether it be doing something physically to stop an attack? All you can do is question their character. Because as I mentioned in previous posts. There are other options to intervene in this type of situation.

So in closing. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO AS A PERSON. Your first /last/and only option shouldn’t just to call 911 and either watch the situation from a safe distance or leave the situation completely. Of course there is situations that the only thing you can do is call 911 for help. But this was not clearly one of them. Things could have been done to help.
